Runway Curls using Straighteners

Hey guys! I'm back with TWO hair tutorials for you guys. So today I'm going to demonstrate how I curl my hair using a pair of straighteners/flat iron. Its a very simple & easy method. I like to use both VERTICAL & HORIZONTAL sliding methods when it comes to curling my hair.

Sliding vertically = spiral curl (for my bottom layers)

Sliding horizontally = Bouncey volumising curl (for my upper layers)

The finishing result is volumized big hair. The runway supermodel type of hair; curvaceous, sexy and cute at the same time. It takes me about 5 minutes to do my hair as you can see in the video but I've always been quick about hair so I would say 5-10 minutes. It's very simple really and it just takes a little bit of practice. I am using Nicky Clarke Professional Salon Straightener; I love it! Its lightweight and glides smoothly. I'll do a proper review on it hopefully one day. You can purchase this from Argos and also in Boots. I've actually been using this instead of my GHDs lately.

Tips to creating this hairstyle:

  • Prepping your hair so the straightener will slide easier gives you much nicer curls
  • A good straightener that slides at ease and doesnt snap/pull your hair gives you a better finish
  • The longer it takes to slide your straightener; the tighter the curl. The shorter time it takes to slide, the looser the curl.
  • I like to curve hair away from face for my bottom layers but curve hair towards face for my upper layers

Enjoy this one guys! Mwah xxx
