My Hair Care, Tips & Remedies
I was meant to update this section about my haircare regime a few days ago but just didn't get around to it because I've been busy. So now I'm in England and got more time to spare because I have 2 weeks off from work (Whoopee!). I have Dreamweaver downloaded on my macbook so I can work on it during my stay in England although the font is really weird on my macbook and I noticed on the macbook; my website appears VERY weird. As if it is out of sync. But never mind about that, let me go into detail about my hair care.
My hair:
My hair is long, thick & coloured. I have to put more effort maintaining my hair because it is alot more vulnerable as it is long. The longer your hair, the more damaged it can be because the ends are alot older. I straighten my hair every other day and also use hair tongs from time to time. I also dry my hair quite often because I am taught not to sleep with wet hair and sometimes I'm just too tired to let it air dry. Because of all of this, I need products to balance my hair.
Shampoo & Conditioner

I don't know about you guys but when it comes to shampoo & conditioner, I don't like to spend a whole lot of money. It runs out quick and my main priority is to have clean hair. But of course, scent and softness is also important to me. I simply use Herbal Essences or Pantene Pro V and I have to say it works well for me. I do prefer Herbal Essences because I just love the smell of their exotic scents. Now the packaging for Herbal Essences has changed and its now fun, vibrant & fruity looking. I tend to use the Shampoo & Conditioners for 'DRY/DAMAGED or 'COLOURED' hair so this way I get the maximum moisture. This applies to Conditioner too. I like to leave the Conditioner on my hair for as long as possible too so the moisturing is at its max ^_^
Hair Treatments

Although I am not a big fan of the Tresemme Shampoo & Conditioner range, I am a huge fan of their Hair treatment Masque. It works amazingly well on my hair. This hair mask is great for nourishing and repairing hair. At 500ml, it is absolutely huge and plentiful. It costs me less than £5 so at £1 each 100ml, it is affordable too. The effects of this mask leaves my hair looking silky, hydrated & shiney. I apply this on my hair after it has been shampooed and leave it on while I read a magazine. I just simply love it. If your hair is very damaged/dry, use it everyday on a 7 day course and your hair will be so silky and smooth. I have tried a number of expensive hair treatments and to me; the Tresemme Hair Masque works JUST as well.

The CHI Ionic Color Protector System is something I use after my hair is shampooed, conditioned & towel dried. I would ruffle a palm-ful amount into my hair and ruffle it throughout my hair, especially my hair ends. It is soothing and easy to apply. This treatment protects the color in my hair working like a sunscreen. It helps it stay hydrated, soft & shiney. I find this product very promising and I almost use this as a leave in conditioner which dries very well. It doesn't appear greasy but its lightweight and gives it volume and boost.
Hair Tips
There are many various methods to keep our hair looking healthy and prevent it from damage. Here, I'm just going to go some basic points and I find them very simple yet effective. Got questions? Email Bubbi@bubzbeauty.com
1. Use shampoo/conditioners catered to your hair type. Now this is common sense, if you have oily hair, go for products for oily hair. If you have dry hair, then of course you will need a deep nourishing product ^_^ Right?
2. Only shampoo your hair when it is dirty. Ok, I don't like to sleep with dirty hair and the thought of the grease travelling down my face makes me cringe. But if your hair is in desert mode; don't shampoo it all the time. The greasiness is actually very good for our hair. It helps our hair conditions to improve. Over washing your hair will leave it dry & brittle.
3. After your hair is cleaned, run cold water all over your hair. Just even for 10 seconds and you will see and feel the dramatic differences. Your hair will be so much more silky and smoother. I love this trick and it makes my hair shinier.
4.When you towel dry your hair, use the 'squeeze & press' method. Instead of rubbing your hair back and forth with the towel, this method prevents your hair from further damage. Your hair is vulnerable when wet and by rubbing itback & forth with the towel you are creating split ends and further damage.
5. Don't brush your hair when it is wet. Again, your hair is very vulerable when wet and brushing can cause hair breakage. Use a comb instead if you must.
6. Give your hair deep nourishment by keeping conditioner in your hair as long as possible to give it a hydro-boost. I like to wear a shower cap with this process.
7. Massage your scalp as you shampoo. Why? By massaging, you stimulate the oil glands to work more efficiently which works to improve the softness of the hair.
8. Home remedies can benefit your hair without burning a hole in your pocket. I love to use mayonnaise on my hair ends to repair & moisture. Coconut works as a deep conditioner and banana is great to treat dandruff. To remove build up in your hair, apply apple cider all over your hair as a treatment and rinse off after 20 minutes.
Took me forever to do this article, stupid dreamweaver on mac is sooo confusing. Anyway, I hope this was helpful guys! ^_^ Stay beautiful!
Much love, Bubz xx
