A Thank You... (+ new vlog)
- Friday, 23 August 2013
Mmm... I'm snacking on blueberries as I type. So delicious. I think I can keep eating these things ALL DAY LONG. So good for you too.
We just landed in Hong Kong yesterday and we've just been tidying out the apartment a little bit and settling in. I'm looking out the window and just thinking, I can't believe we're back already. The 3 weeks just seemed to fly by.
Here is a vlog of some snippets of my time in Northern Ireland.
Vlog in a nutshell:
Reading Tim's Teenage diary,
Tim's childhood photos,
Kicking ass at the segway,
We Luv BJs,
I love my girls
I had such an amazing time back home. I mean, I always enjoy myself but this time just felt so much more different. It felt like everybody got a lot closer. I got to have an awesome hen party with my closest girlfriends, marry the love of my life, meet my baby nephew for the first time, enjoy family time, have massive friend reunions and so much more. It's just been such a blessed beautiful time.
I never got a chance to thank these girls so I want to do it now here.
"Don't hide yourself in the corner, you have my place to stay..."
Annie, my maid of honour =) I know you always felt guilty because you were in the UK while I was in HK so you couldn't "help" me physically but the emotional support you gave me was incredible and just the very thing I needed. Always honest, you would not let me walk down the aisle unless I looked good. You planned such a memorable hen party and I can't even describe how much it meant for me. I know being a maid of honour was very tough but you gave it 101%. On the day of the wedding, you were busy doing what you do best - bossing people around to make sure things were done XD I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I'm so lucky you were my maid of honour. Even though people accused the bouquet toss as being rigged since it pretty much landed in your arms lol, we all know it was fate since the 2nd throw landed in your arms again lol. You always know how to make me smile and I know I can always lean on you.
April, my dear little sister. I felt like we got even closer this trip coming back. You always complained about us sharing the bed together but I know you loved my company tehee. It was mega fun having each other as gym buddies as we took body combat classes together. We fought to hold our baby nephew. We spent so much time together and it was all so fun even at times we did nothing. I know it must've been tiring for you to drive me around everywhere, I'm so thankful =). I'm so lucky to have you as a little sister and I can't wait to see you in a couple weeks time.
Yannie, my dear cousin who grew up with me that knows all my embarassing moments. We have countless memories together that makes us laugh, smile and cringe. We were inseperable when we were young and even though we drifted in the past few years, we somehow found each other again and now I'm going to be your maid of honour for your wedding next year. Along with Kate, you guys will always hold a very special place in my heart. I could not be any happier for you and Thomas. I'm so honoured and happy you asked me to be your maid of honour. Believe me, I am already excited just thinking about our hen party. It's gonna be AWESOME! I can't wait to start on the maid of honour speech either because we just have so many hilarious memories together.
Susan, you flew all the way from Hong Kong just to be there for Tim & I's special day. I know how tough it must've been out of your busy work schedule. You always know how to make me laugh and even though you joke about how much of a nuisance it can be being a bridesmaid, I know this wedding meant a lot to you too =) Gotta admit, I did worry about you tripping in the aisle but I think you did a great walk. I'm lucky to have a close girlfriend with me in Hong kong. I look forward to our next girly date. We need another catch up soon!
Kate, I know you weren't an official bridesmaid but in my heart- you felt like one for me. In fact, you're more to me than a bridesmaid to me. Having you there at the hen party was the icing of my cupcake. It's been too long since we hung out together and knowing I played a role to your writing/drawing passion just touched my heart so much. I love you so much and even though we don't speak as much as we would like to, I'm sure you already know how important you are to me =)
I seriously had the best bridesmaids ever. Each played a part whether it was preparation to making the day run smoothly. Wouldn't have been able to say I Do without you girls. Queenie, I know you wanted to be there but we always thought about you and we still got the one in October to kick butt in =)
Now to the groomsmen...
Beni and Yummy, you guys made such brilliant speeches. Gotta be honest, Tim and I had our doubts but you guys blew us (and the audience) away. Even though you guys are Tim's best men, I feel lucky that we are also close friends who have known each other for 10 years. I just KNOW that ten years later, we will be just as close.
I don't think it's common to have the bride, groom, maid of honour and two best men to all be close friends of 10 years. I feel very lucky for each and every single one of you.
Now to groomsmen Ian, Kevin and Steve. Ian, I felt like we got so much closer this year and I know you really 'sec aw'. You always look out for me and never ever let me take a drink for you. You saying I'm not strong enough? Kevin, you always make everybody laugh without even trying. You're like a fart, your awesomeness spreads everywhere. Steve, being the Project manager that you are- we know you did an amazing job allocating tasks to be done. On top of that, you've always been a true friend to Tim (and me tehee) and cook us amazing meals. Tim is lucky to have 5 awesome groomsmen. He keeps telling me this.
To our wonderful family & friends who travelled to make it to our wedding, it was an honour having you guys attend our big day. We may have had a small wedding but the reason it was so special to us was because we only wanted to invite close intimate friends and family. Thank you for being here. We hoped you guys enjoyed it as much as we did.
It's funny but the older you get, the more you appreciate your family. We did a lot of family activities and it's just made me cherish my family even more. Thank you for being my family. Thank you for being my friends. To my subscribers, thank you for being more than subscribers to me. Please always remember to cherish your family and friends ^_^
Now we're back in Hong Kong and ready to start new life as a married couple (although things still feel the same haha). Only 2 weeks until our honeymoon!! I need to start eating healthier again and working out since I got a bit lazier after the wedding.
Ok this short entry ended up being super long so I'm going to stop right here! I'm sure you guys are fed up about me going on and on and on about the wedding etc but I just needed to say these words to my girls. Let me apologise right here lol.
Glad to be back. I shall talk to you all soon!
Much love, Bubz xx
