Bananas, Meet & Greet and Growing Up!
- Friday, 24 June 2011
Hmm...It's 2.30am right now and I really should be sleeping because I'm planning to film early tomorrow but I had a nap today *_* Yikes! There's been minor typhoons in Hong Kong lately so it has been raining loads. I love the sound of rain but damn it, I am getting sooo many mosquito bites. So to everybody who's visiting Hong Kong soon, please beware of mosquitos and remember when it rains; try to avoid puddles because mosquitos are so attracted to dirty water.
For the past month, I have been stressing over my dog Chubbi. I have grown so attached to her and knowing I have to part with her for 3 weeks makes me teary. I have friends that offered to look after her but due to due to sudden change of plans, they're unable to, so my boyfriend suggested Dog Hotels. I can't even bear the thought of leaving my puppy in an unfamiliar place. I just don't trust them so I seriously thought about postponing my flight to United Kingdom (and cancelling my Europe trip) so I can stay with her. However, he suggested maybe we can fly my sister over to Hong Kong to take care of Chubbi. It sounds crazy, I know! But my sister is awesome with my family dog Max so I trust her 101% Plus, Chubbi would be so much more comfortable living in my apartment because she's used to it. My sister just graduated with a 2:1 and I am so proud of her so this could also be her graduation gift. I know she would love to visit Hong Kong so I'll be spending 2 weeks in Hong Kong with her before flying to Northern Ireland and touring Europe.
She looks so cute sleeping in her little mushroom bed ^_^
Oh by the way, I'm still getting lots of great responses from those who tried the oatmeal face wash. I am so happy to hear that it is working well for you guys. Some people ask if oatmeal will remove makeup and my answer is no, it doesn't. I have to remove my makeup with a gentle cleansing oil first and then resume to cleansing the face with oatmeal. I actually just washed my face with oatmeal so skin is feeling good.
What can we talk about? Oh, today I walked past a fruit vendor and the man shouted out "HEY LITTLE GIRL, YOU SHOULD TRY MY BANANAS. THEY TASTE GREAT!" to me. Needless to say, I ran. LOL, I still laugh when I think about it. The man actually said it in chinese and it sounds 100 times funnier. He probably genuinely wanted to sell fruit (most likely) but my mind is so corrupted. Tut Tut Bubz.
Another thing, my friend told me today about a mushroom that just recently got discovered. Apparently scientists named this mushroom after SpongeBob Squarepants. The mushroom is called Spongiforma Squarepantsii. I'm serious, incase you think I'm joking. LOLOL, this little piece of information made my day and I hope it makes yours.
I'm planning to do a Meet & Greet soon because I know a lot of you guys are visiting Hong Kong for Summer. I had the most fun meeting you guys in my last Meet & Greet. I plan to do it beginning July but I'll let you guys know when I gather more information yeah? It will be swell to meet you guys. Maybe we can get ice cream and just hang out in general.
I also filmed a DIY tutorial today and I hope you guys will enjoy it. So many people asked about my bow shirt that I wore in my May Favs video. I bought it for $HK230 in Hong Kong but I figured, you know what? I can easily make this baby myself. I'm actually pretty impressed with the outcome of the shirt. I'll upload the tutorial in a few days time.
Ok, I'll end this entry with a new 'June Favs' video. I think I'm going to make a video about 'growing up' one day. I only realised today that even though Youtube has such a girly community, the topic of puberty is so touchy. I mean, we're all girls and we understand what it's like to be one. I shouldn't feel embarrassed to be a girl so I think I may even start a tag for the girlies to share their own experiences with growing up. I reckon it will be interesting ^_^ I don't know, maybe even a video on what to expect or even tips? What you guys think?
Cute picture of the week. Panda rice balls tehehee....So cute! I want to make some too even though they might taste bland since it's just rice & seaweed.
Good Night World!
