Prom Perfect Makeup
- Tuesday, 09 April 2013
I hear Prom Season is upon us and I have realised after making videos on Youtube for like years, I have NEVER made a prom tutorial before. I haven't filmed a makeup tutorial in a while either due to my skin flaring up several weeks ago. It' has cleared up about 70% since then but still dealing with scars at the moment. It's all good =) Been using a scar reducing remedy and I've been meaning to make a tutorial on it but I decided to film this later so you guys can see results.
Anyways, when I think of Prom (in United kingdom, we call it Formal by the way lol) - I think of the words Elegance, Glamorous and even Romantic.
Purple eyes is a fantastic choice for a prom because it's probably the most romantic colour to wear on the eyes. The gold adds elegance and together, it creates a look that will make you look and feel a million dollars.
Check out the Perfect Prom Makeup Tutorial below:
I never got to go to my school formal because I had to work (it was on Valentines Day so I had to work as a waitress. Typical asian standards lol) but it was really nice being able to doll up for it. I'm actually told by quite a few people that the 'getting ready' part is the best. Really? Makes me feel like I didn't miss out as much now. Let me know anyways.
Full list of products used in order:
Innisfree brow mascara
Giorgio Armani eyebrow pencil (brown)
Shu Uemura Cream Eyeshadow in P-Pink
Facefront Eyeshadow in Toxic Violet
Shu Uemura eyeshadow (I'm sorry guys. I have no idea what this eyeshadow is called because it's exclusive in Asia)
L'Oreal Infalliable Eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum
Barry M Eyeshadow Pencil in Bronze
Gold eyeshadow from a very old palette from Hard Candy (from like 7 years ago o_O)
Barry M Eyeshadow Pencil in Gold Cream
Dollywink Liquid Liner in Black
KOJI Eyelash Curler
Fairy Drops Mascara
Velour Lashes in You Complete Me
Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
YSL Palette Couture Highlighting Powder
IPSA Color Palette (I customised my palette)
Brushes used in the video: The New Bubbi brushes (coming soon end of April/beginning May)
Foundation: I didn't film the process of me applying my foundation but I used my Shiseido Maquillage Powdery Foundation (which I LOVE). It gives a long lasting beautiful matte finish. Because this is a powder foundation, it didn't require setting with a powder. For concealer, I used my GA Mastreo concealer which is also one of my HG products.
While I'm happy to share the products I used. I also encourage you guys to seek your own alternative dupes. Just because I used something doesn't mean you have to use the exact same thing.
That's all folks.
Much love, Bubz xx
