I WENT SHOPPING!!!

Hey everybody!
The weather is so sunny in Hong Kong today. It's a shame because when you're outside, you will do ANYTHING to be indoors again lol. The immense heat, glare from the sun and mosquito bites? NO THANKS! *Hugs air conditioning machine* It's a shame because it does look beautiful. I'll just have to wait until I return to UK for the beautiful summer breeze that comes along with the sun.
It's been a while since I did a haul post. I actually got a pay rise in April (Yey!!!) and didn't really get to celebrate about it so I decided to go shopping and spoil myself as a treat. I haven't shopped properly in such a long time. I either don't shop at all and when I do, I SHOP!!! I'll briefly review some of the makeup products too for you guys. I passed my local drugstore and was pretty excited to pick up some new Revlon Photoready products. So far, I am pretty impressed with all the products.
I've only tested all items for just over 2 weeks or so but the Photoready Eye primer & brightener is probably my favourite out of all the items. It only comes in one colour which baffled me a little but then I realised it doesn't have much of a colour pay off. It just helps to reflect light hence minimizing the appearance of fine lines and darkness/hollowness. It doesn't look as obvious as concealer so it doesn't conceal as much but it does work nicely and it's great for everyday. I use it mainly as an eye brightener but it works fine as a primer too which is very handy for traveling.
As for the Airbrush foundation, gotta say I was very skeptical since I've never had a good experience with mousse foundation but I'm pleasantly surprised. First of all, I purposely purchased a shade lighter than my skin tone because I KNEW it will oxidize and darken (most mousse foundations tend to have this issue. Plus, the darker colours looked a bit too pink for me). Secondly, as expected it doesn't feel as light as it sold itself to be but it DOES give a very natural finish. The coverage is great and the formula is very hydrating. The mousse texture is quite 'solid' and when you tap your fingers into it, it turns into a creamy consistency. Let me test it a little longer and I'll do a more indepth review for you guys ^_^.
The primer is decent too. It has a silicone like texture and evens out skin tone/mattifying the skin whilst smoothing out the skin texture. I wouldn't say it's amazing but it does the job.
Lastly; for the sculpting blush palette, I purchased the natural one and so far I am liking it too. It subtly contours the face whilst giving a very healthy sunkissed glow which for Summer. I want to purchase more of these blush palettes for sure.
I needed a new brow pencil and I came across this one which looked quite interesting. It has a pencil end, a spoolie end AND a powder tip. I imagined using the powder tip to thicken up the brows for a natural fuller brow effect whilst using the pencil end to define and sharpen the edges. I picked the lightest shade but I still think it's a bit too dark for me. The pencil rubs off easily too. Meh!
I love the infalliable eyeshadows by L'Oreal and this colour "Magnetic Coral" is my new Summer favourite. It's so fun! It's a warm coral orange with subtle hints of pink. I wore it today and received lots of compliments. Very easy to wear because it looks nice on it's own.
BRTC makes some of my favourite sheet masks (I LOVE their vitamin masks) so I wanted to try out this '7 day stem cell program' pack. It's really just a combination of some of their masks which allows me to test each sheet mask individually. I have to say, the masks with the 'syringe' images on the packaging are far better than these ones with the 'drip' ones. They're not bad but the masks just don't fit on my face as snug as it should be. The holes for the eyes, nose and mouth are so big so it doesn't cover as much of the skin as it should. Shame or else they would be great.
This purchase hurt my purse since Lancome skincare products are pricey but I just had to try because I am TOO intrigued. I resisted myself from trying Genifique since the day it launched. It was just too expensive but since I heard so many wonderful things about it from my girlies from Youtube, I figured I'll give it a try. Rae (from Raeview) also raved about Visionnaire so I picked it up too. I just finished up my eyecream and I thought I'll give the Genefique eyecream a try. Sigh, I went in aiming to get one product and I came out with three!! Only been using these new skincare products for 3-4 days and the texture of my skin has improved so much. Crazy.
I went back to my 'ZA ever brows' in Honey Brown. Some people don't like how it's so light but it's exactly why I like it. It allows me to build up the colour for natural fullness. For me, working with a lighter brow pencil is much easier than working with a darker brown pencil.
I popped into COTTON ON and picked up these two purses. I've just always wanted to get these because they have such a cute vintage design. They're just good for days when I'm on the go and I don't want to bring too much.
I couldn't decide which one to get so I bought both sizes ^_^
Realised I should've just got the small size. It's big enough to fit my phone, money and cards. I guess I can use the bigger one as a casual clutch. Doesn't fit my phone though.
I thought this loose fit polka dot vest will be fun for summer. I'll layer it over a tank top or something. Nice to lounge around with in the park eating icecream.
I really liked this vest! I'm really into shirt-type pieces and I think this will look so pretty for Summer. Very comfy too!
Every girl needs a white linen vest to look comfy and casual. I love wear these type of shirts with my denim shorts and a brown belt.

I needed a basic light weight flowy cardigan so I picked up this creamy/rice coloured cardy. The girl told me it was on a Buy 1 get another one 70% off so I grabbed the black one too. It may be hot in Hong Kong but air con can get too strong in restaurants sometimes so a cardigan is a MUST piece for lil Bubz.
Ok, this is the biggest fashion spend for this year. After 4 years of being able to make a living on my own, I finally purchased my first designer handbag. Now, I have had hand-me-down handbags from my mother before. I have purchased a designer bag for my mother too but never myself. I don't know, I just don't feel like I deserve one. I am such a careless person and everything I own always ends up being destroyed and damaged.
My mother is always nagging at me for still wearing non branded stuff and saying I should stop being stingy and own one designer bag =_=. Honestly, I'm just the type that prefers to splash out for holidays instead but I figured, one branded bag isn't such a bad thing.
I figured if I use it everyday (FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!! Lol) and make proper use out of it - it won't be a waste. I researched so many types of handbags. Some bags looked too classy or flashy for my casual taste. Some were too girly for me. Some were far out my budget zone. I figured this Balenciaga Classic would be perfect for me. First of all, I love the colour and secondly, it's the perfect size for me. It doesn't drown my small frame and it's big enough to fit all the crap I bring around with me. It's edgy looking but casual enough to match my slobby clothes that I wear around in Hong Kong. I love the edgy classic design and how it doesn't scream 'I'M EXPENSIVE' in your face (even though it really is T_T). Of course, this purchase was very heavily influenced by Wendy (Wendyslookbook). She has the best fashion taste. EVER! She is bad for my purse I tell you.
So yeah, that's the end of my beauty/fashion haul ... Ouch! But YEY!
Thank you so much for all the reading and scrolling. We shall talk soon!
Much love, Bubz xx
