Why does God allow Suffer & Evil to happen?

"Hi Bubz. I'm writing to you because I have a really big question but it's not linked to makeup or hair. I know you are a Christian so I hope you can help me on this. You see, I want to believe in a God because deep in my heart I know there must be a creator. It's just I have so many questions, why is there evil and suffering in the world? My cousin was my bestest friend in the whole wide world and I always looked up to her because she is intelligent and pretty. She got sexually abused ten years ago and has never been the same since. I don't understand how a loving God can let this happen to his children he is supposed to look after :/ Ps. I love your videos and website <3"-  A girl in doubt

Hi sweetheart,

Wow, you know what? After reading your question, I sat in front of the screen in awe. I recently just read a book that answers this question. I really think I was meant to read that book so I can answer your question. Bear in mind, I'm not the most knowledgable person to ask but I'll try my best to let the Holy Spirit guide me to your answer. *Runs to get my book for help*

When I was twelve years old, I lost my grandad to cancer. My grandparents lived in our house and I was brought up by them. My grandfather was invincible to me and I never thought he will actually leave me. He was only in hospital for not even 2 weeks before passing away. I was shocked.

The 2 years after the death of my grandfather- I saw my granny age a lot. She tried to hide her pain from us but she would cry at night in her bedroom. It hurt my heart so much. She was so used to cooking with my grandad and going to events with him. Suddenly she had to get used to see other granny couples while she attended places alone. I remember asking God "How could you let my grandad die? Why didn't you do something?".

Don't we question Him a lot? Whether it's a broken leg to a broken heart to a broken family. We see famine happening all over the world. Some people think "Maybe God messed up. Maybe he was too busy dealing with Taiwan's earthquake that he forgot about the children in Africa". Some people think "Maybe God is angry with me for turning my back on him. That's why He is punishing me". The Lord doesn't mess up nor take his anger on the World.

Man has always been brought up to believe the World is made for them. We have been brought up to be eccentric and self centered. However, the World actually doesn't revolve around us. The earth was supposed to be a fall world. The Bible tells us that man would suffer mentally and physically but it's ok because through hard times- we can lean on God.

"Our comfort is not God's priority. If it is, how do we explain challenges such as death, disease, slumping accompanies and earthquakes? If God exists to please us, then shouldn't we always be pleased?"- Max Lucado.

God loves each and every single one of us, even those that reject Him. There is a reason for suffering in the World.

God says "Trust me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you and you will give me Glory" (Psalm 50:15). All you need is to have Faith in Him because He is Right. Things may seem wrong from our point of view because us humans have our own way of judging but God knows what is Best. Think of Him as a pilot. Sometimes, we don't know where he is taking us and we may even enter into storms but we have to TRUST HIM because at the end of the day, He is just trying to take us Home. He WILL take us home. Where is home? With Him.

My grandad's death actually brought our entire family closer together. The grand children spend so much more time with my granny now. My sister has influenced the family to become curious in Christianity. Now my granny who was a strongly against Christianity is slowly showing interest and curiosity in God's Love. God blessed us all along. He never forgot about us and has plans for all of us.

In times of a disaster, people often find themselves seeking out to Him. Some people feel guilty for this but it's okay because God loves it when his children yearn for Him.

I read a story about a millionare a few months ago. He was wealthy and successful but it led him to be careless and greedy. One day, he got involved in a serious car accident. He survived but he became permanently blinded. He was in despair and confided in the Bible for answers. Today he says he "became blind to see". He saw the Bigger picture. This life isn't about him, it's about finding God. He found the real meaning to life.

Your cousin has gone through a lot so she has a painful scar in her heart. Pray and have faith. Everything happens for a reason. I recommend you to read the Bible hun. It's a living book and it speaks to you differently each time you read it. The Bible never lies for a book that was written a looong time ago, it was so ahead of it's time because it's timeless.

As crazy as it sounds, this life isn't made for us. This body we're in isn't supposed to be our permanent bodies. This World isn't made to last forever. They say this World is a bootcamp for us to find the Lord.

All the heart ache and suffering will last "just for a moment" until we are united with Him in Heaven. Just like how it was meant to be.

"Your pain has a purpose. Your problems, struggles, heartaches and hassles cooperate toward one end- the Glory of God".

Again like I said before, things may seem unjust in our human eyes but at the end of the day, He knows best. He is the Creator of everything! He can create and design each and every cell in our bodies, He created the Earth so it's at the perfect tilt for Life to begin, He created every single thing in the Universe. You think He wouldn't know what is best? He does.

Thank you so much for asking me this question. You asking this question already shows you are looking for Him already, even if it is out of curiosity. Like you, I had so many questions but somtimes you just gotta have faith. I experienced the supernatural refreshment from Him. It's an incredible feeling and I can't explain it. He always answers my prayers and He will answer yours. You know what? Here's a video for you to watch. I don't know how to describe how much Jesus loves us so I'll post this video below. Nobody will EVER be able to understand how much we are loved but I really hope this video below will change your heart a little.

We're like the Moon. Despite what a lot of song lyrics say, the moon can't generate light. It is just a large piece of rock covered in dust in the dark. However, when the moon is positioned right, it beams. She reflects the light from the Sun. The moon is happy to reflect the light of the Sun. It's what it was made for. This is how we are supposed to live our life. We are the moon and the Lord is the Sun. We're here to shine in the Glory of God.

Smile! Jesus loves you!

Much love, Bubz xx
